Improve your strength.
Gymnastics uses muscle groups at the same time, and so your overall strength will improve quicker compared to regular gym visits.
Become more agile.
Flexibility isn't about doing the splits. The more flexible you are, the less injuries you'll pick up day-to-day. (But yes, it's nice to be able to do more than touch your toes!)
The social aspect of gymnastics makes it more enjoyable than solo workouts. There is always an end in sight - always a new move to learn!
